Coveo moves beyond the hype - removing the enterprise risk out of Generative AI

Coveo, a leader in AI platforms that transform digital experiences with intelligent search, recommendations, 1:1 personalization, and merchandising, announced today the official field launch of the Coveo Relevance Generative AnsweringTM Design Partner Program with 18 large global customers, giving them access to the beta solution for testing at enterprise scale. Coveo also announced an early adopter offer, limited to current enterprise customers. Today, the product will be unveiled and demonstrated with live enterprise data at the Coveo Relevance 360 event in Menlo Park, California.

The Coveo Relevance CloudTM, a world-leading Relevance AI Platform, now offers enterprise grade Generative Answering that brings factually accurate and contextually relevant question answering, combined with enterprise grade security from multiple sources of enterprise content. Coveo Relevance Generative Answering brings Large Language Models (LLMs) technology on top of the secure unified indexing and relevance capabilities of Coveo's market-leading Relevance Cloud AI platform. This makes generative answering using LLMs applicable within enterprises, where security, privacy, factuality, real-time sources of truth, relevance, and access to multiple sources of content are all key imperatives. This is more than a decade in the making, building on Coveo’s powerful Relevance Cloud AI Platform.

“We have seen unprecedented customer interest in Coveo Relevance Generative Answering, and we look forward to demonstrating its power for the enterprise,” said Louis Tetu, Chairman and CEO at Coveo. “Our strategy has been last-to-hype, first-to-results, building on our leadership in large scale enterprise search and relevance. Generative AI is the natural extension of our Coveo Relevance Cloud AI Platform, which already included LLM-powered functions since 2021, as it can feed LLMs with the unified secure indexing, security, privacy and relevance all necessary for enterprise compliance at scale. Coveo Relevance Generative Answering solves the key CIO headaches with generative AI, such as hallucinations, veracity, security, privacy and a lack of source of truth which are hindering enterprises from leveraging this technology in a brand safe way. Our platform creates the spinal AI capability enterprises need to deliver modern, intelligent and conversational experiences at scale. Enterprises that don’t adopt this type of AI capability, will compete against it.”

Coveo Relevance Generative Answering capability is designed to solve eight critical challenges:

  1. Unsecure Environment – The Coveo Relevance Generative Answering solution is built on top of Coveo’s secure indexing at its core. Robust security measures protect valuable assets, ensuring that data remains secure throughout the generative answering content generation process.
  2. Lack of Confidentiality and Privacy – Coveo Relevance Generative Answering protects confidentiality and privacy, ensuring that valuable data remains secure within organizational boundaries and proprietary content is not shared with public engines, or used in a generated answer.
  3. Hallucinations or Lack of Accuracy – Leading brands cannot hallucinate. The Coveo Relevance Generative Answering capability maintains factual accuracy at scale without compromising brands credibility.
  4. Outdated Facts & Answers – Coveo Relevance Generative Answering leverages real-time data sources from the unified index, enabling answers to be generated that are consistent with enterprise content.
  5. Non-Compliancy and Validity – Coveo Relevance Generative Answering establishes seamless links with sources of truth, allowing users to verify and validate the accuracy and credibility of generated answers.
  6. Content Decentralization – Coveo Relevance Generative Answering is built on the power of the Coveo unified secure indexing and enrichment of enterprise content using Coveo AI. By integrating multiple content sources securely, it enables exponential growth in generative AI capabilities.
  7. Siloed Search & Chat Channels – Search and generative answering should not operate as separate silos; the future lies in their coherent integration. Coveo Relevance Generative Answering bridges the gap by delivering a unified and consistent user and veracity experience across all search and chat channels, as they are fed from the same unified index and relevance mechanisms.
  8. Generative AI Chat is Expensive – By leveraging advanced search and relevance algorithms, combined with LLMs, Coveo eliminates the need for costly alternatives. With this approach, enterprises can get results for a fraction of the cost typically associated with generative AI, offsetting the fact that chat can be 100x to 1,000x more expensive than query-based search.

Blockgraph Announces Launch of GraphPort, Enabling Companies Without First-Party Identity Data to Achieve Accurate Data Matching and Targeting for All TV Advertising

Blockgraph Announces Launch of GraphPort, Enabling Companies Without First-Party Identity Data to Achieve Accurate Data Matching and Targeting for All TV Advertising

advertising 9 Jun 2023

New Technology Solution Will Facilitate Interoperability Across Identity Solutions for Advertisers, Publishers and TV Distributors

Blockgraph, the technology company making the future of privacy-focused, data-driven TV advertising possible, today announced the launch of GraphPort, a new product that facilitates permissioned mapping of third-party identity graphs to Blockgraph’s comprehensive Identity Operating System (IDoS). GraphPort will allow all companies — including those without first-party identity data — to take advantage of Blockgraph’s fast, effective, and deterministic identity matching for total TV advertising.

“Effective, relevant and privacy-safe advertising is the goal of both brands and consumers, but the existing technology ecosystem for identity matching makes it expensive and time-consuming to achieve this goal,” said Jason Manningham, CEO of Blockgraph. “Until now, advertisers without their own first-party identity data couldn’t easily target households across distinct data and clean room platforms. The launch of GraphPort puts deterministic identity matching in the hands of every advertiser, with the result being greater scale and accuracy for marketing campaigns across all TV platforms.”

GraphPort, the new data-driven advertising solution from Blockgraph, enables proprietary third-party identifiers to be protected and connected to corresponding identifiers within the Blockgraph ecosystem. GraphPort reduces hurdles and increases transparency in the matching process, finally making fast, accurate and privacy-focused identity resolution and targeting attainable for every advertiser regardless of the source of their existing data assets.

“We are focused on solving for interoperability across a dynamic and complex identity landscape for the TV and premium video ecosystem,” said Mark McKee, GM of FreeWheel. “GraphPort helps to enable buyers and sellers to more seamlessly and efficiently transact in today’s data-driven TV marketplace.”

“Identity resolution is of critical importance in today’s complex media and advertising environment, and this process has consistently been one of the most complicated aspects of data-driven TV advertising,” said Mari Tangredi, SVP, Global Partnerships at Cadent. “GraphPort will allow our Aperture Platform customers, who rely on us to power their cross-screen TV audience enablement and media activation needs, to enable a connection with the leading TV providers within the Blockgraph ecosystem, reducing friction in data connectivity.”

The launch of GraphPort follows the recent news that Blockgraph delivers 10x improved match rates through their partnership with Kantar. As a result, partners can maintain control of their identity data and deploy it more effectively and efficiently. The industry-wide acceptance of Blockgraph’s clean technology and its continued adoption by key players in the industry empowers partners to execute data-driven addressable TV campaigns more successfully and at scale.

Captify To Track Environmental Impact Of Online Ads Following Global Partnership With Good-Loop

Captify To Track Environmental Impact Of Online Ads Following Global Partnership With Good-Loop

advertising 9 Jun 2023

Collaboration will enable the leading search intelligence platform to measure and reduce the end-to-end emissions of digital campaigns through green media integration

Captify, the leading Search Intelligence Platform for the open web, today announced a global partnership with purpose-led ad platform Good-Loop that will allow advertisers to track and reduce the environmental impact of their online ad campaigns.

The new collaboration will give Captify access to Good-Loop’s proprietary Green Media technology, enabling brands and agencies to accurately measure in real time the end-to-end carbon emissions generated by their digital ads.

Online ads contribute significantly to global CO2 emissions. A recent study from Purpose Disruptors found that advertising adds an extra 32% to an individual’s carbon footprint, with digital advertising responsible for a hefty chunk of those emissions.

The average online ad campaign emits 5.4 tonnes of carbon (source: Good-Loop) – almost half what an average UK consumer and a third of what a US consumer produces in a year.

As well as being able to track the carbon footprint of its clients’ digital campaigns through a custom dashboard, the collaboration will also give Captify access to Good-Loop solutions designed to help advertisers reduce emissions.

Fiona Salmon, Global VP of Partnerships and Sustainability Lead, Captify, said: “Captify has recognised the magnitude of the emissions that the programmatic industry is creating and we are keen to be part of the solution. We are proud to be working with an industry leader in Good-Loop, but now comes the good part – working with our clients to move toward net-zero with offerings that measure and reduce emissions without sacrificing performance.”

Claire Gleeson-Landry, Head of Investment and Sustainable Media at Good-Loop, said: “I’m really excited to be partnering with Captify and helping them to deliver more carbon-efficient campaigns for their clients. Their commitment to decarbonisation and driving down emissions will help to create a more positive, sustainable ad ecosystem.”

Good-Loop created its suite of Green Media solutions to serve as an educational tool to help digital advertising become more energy-efficient in future campaigns.

Its Green Ad Tag can measure the weight of files, and assess the publisher mix, buying strategies, failed bids and the full data transmission required to get a campaign from A (the ad server) to B (the user device) to determine how each element has a negative impact on the environment.

The data is then collected by Good-Loop and displayed in a clear reporting dashboard, enabling brands and agencies to gain an accurate picture of how much C02e was released into the atmosphere as a result of serving each campaign.

Dstillery Introduces Custom Search Lookalikes, A First-of-its-Kind Application of Search Keywords for Programmatic Advertising

Dstillery Introduces Custom Search Lookalikes, A First-of-its-Kind Application of Search Keywords for Programmatic Advertising

advertising 9 Jun 2023

Newest offering empowers advertisers to find the best inventory targeting people searching for a brand's keywords

Dstillery, the leading custom audience solutions company, today announced a new addition to its portfolio of targeting products. Unlike anything else on the market, Dstillery's Custom Search Lookalikes uses patented AI and opted-in, de-identified panel data to bring the power of search to programmatic advertising in a new, innovative way. For the first time, brands and their agencies will be able to integrate their programmatic ad campaigns with search engine marketing by leveraging the keywords that drive performance.

Powered by Dstillery's patented ID-free® technology, Custom Search Lookalikes helps advertisers reach the people searching for their brands' keywords on the inventory most likely to drive their campaign goal. Instead of relying on searches from limited publisher sources, this solution has privacy-safe visibility into consumers' browsing patterns, including website visits and keyword searches on top search engines and retailer platforms. ID-free® learns these patterns and extends its understanding to all impressions on the internet, scoring and ranking every ad impression on its likelihood of targeting a person searching for a brand's keywords. The model is available to activate as a PMP or custom bidding algorithm.

"Custom Search Lookalikes is a new targeting approach that provides agencies and brands access to highly predictive search data previously unavailable on the open internet," said Taejin In, Senior Vice President of Product at Dstillery. "We're able to answer the question of 'when people search for a specific phrase, where else do they visit frequently on the internet?' – making it easy for brands to identify and target that hard-to-reach consideration audience."

The launch of Dstillery's newest offering follows the company's continued growth and momentum, including securing its 18th patent from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for its proprietary method for discovering audiences in its Audience Explorer platform. Dstillery was also recognized as one of Fast Company's "Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Data Science" and was honored with Business Intelligence Group's Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award. Dstillery will showcase Custom Search Lookalikes and other products next month during the Brand Innovators Marketing Leadership Summit in Cannes from June 19-22, 2023.
