New Report Highlights How Important Reels Are for a Successful Instagram Content Strategy in 2023

New Report Highlights How Important Reels Are for a Successful Instagram Content Strategy in 2023

reports 5 Jul 2023

A new social media study reveals Instagram content performance data and insights that reveal the benefits of integrating more Reels into an Instagram posting strategy.

In a new social media study consisting of the analysis of more than seven million Instagram business posts, Socialinsider - a social media competitive analysis and benchmarking tool - has revealed Instagram Reels outperform all the other Instagram content types when it comes to most of the key performance metrics for social media, such as engagement, reach or impressions.

As a result of the social media predictions regarding the tremendous video content consumption increase, Instagram has experimented with multiple video formats over the years in an attempt to come up with that one form that would become the next significant social trend, securing its position as the most inventive and favored platform.

However, with TikTok finding that successful formula first, Instagram’s only option was to start replicating it so that it could keep itself aligned with the social media users’ new navigational preferences.

Normally, as a consequence of the growing demand for short-form content that was inspired by TikTok’s rising, this new format type is expected to become the best-performing one across multiple social networks. Already confirmed by various social media studies, this also applies in Instagram’s case, where Reels deliver the highest KPIs.

With an average reach rate of 30.81%, Instagram Reels are the recommended content type for marketers to integrate into their Instagram posting strategy, especially when launching social campaigns aiming to increase brand awareness.

Ultimately, this may be the very reason why brands have expanded their Instagram Reels usage over the past year, that, according to data, has increased by 57.4% in 2023.

From an engagement rate perspective, Reels equally score the maximal values, with an average of 1.23%.

Nevertheless, according to data, compared to last year’s numbers, Instagram Reels, as well as all the other content types, have faced a visible engagement drop. This can partly be explained by TikTok’s significant and continuous expansion but also by the overall engagement decrease that’s happening across all social media channels, that another one of Socialinsider’s social media studies pointed.

Lastly, Instagram Reels are again the most appropriate content type to be leveraged by marketers that are aiming to optimize their brands’ Instagram content for saves, in the case of the smallest profiles. The most logical explanation for this is that lower budgets for production may, in the end, serve as a more authenticity driver, which is what the nowadays social media audiences are most looking for.

“To increase their social media performance, brands should integrate all types of content in their Instagram content strategies, as each content format serves different objectives.” - said Adina Jipa, Founder & CMO at Socialinsider.

Top global companies, including TBWA, VMLY&R, Booking.com, Rolls-Royce, Volvo, and Mitsubi, use Socialinsider to enhance their social media performance. Users can experience the benefits of Socialinsider's comprehensive features and analytics firsthand with a 14-day free trial.

Digihost Provides Update on Green Initiatives, Operational Efficiencies and Sustainability

Digihost Provides Update on Green Initiatives, Operational Efficiencies and Sustainability

blockchain 5 Jul 2023

This news release constitutes a “designated news release” for the purposes of the Company’s prospectus supplement dated March 4, 2022 to its short form base shelf prospectus dated February 23, 2022

Digihost Technology Inc.Digihost” or the “Company” Nasdaq: DGHI; TSXV: DGHI, an innovative U.S. based blockchain technology and computer infrastructure company, is pleased to provide an update on its operational sustainability initiatives along with delivering unaudited comparative Bitcoin (“BTC”) production results for the month ended June 30, 2023, combined with an operations update. All monetary references are expressed in USD unless otherwise indicated.

A cornerstone of Digihost’s business strategy is to continue to mine BTC in an efficient and environmentally conscious manner, thereby minimizing the Company’s carbon footprint. The Company is pleased to report the following Green Energy milestones:

  • The New York Independent System Operator (“NYSIO”) Power Trends 2023 reports that “Upstate New York” production is now 93% emissions free.
  • Six months earlier than anticipated, the Company’s East Delevan facility is now the anchor subscriber to a community solar project in National Grid territory that generates more than 5MW’s of renewable energy into the National Grid system. This commitment aids in the development of future renewable energy development, as well as helps lower the costs of operations.
  • Digihost entered into an additional NYISO-level curtailment program that demands fast acting curtailment of load. The Company’s flexible electricity load and proprietary software allows for rapid response to signals sent by the system operator, which then provides reliability and price stability to the grid during times of need.

Luke Marchiori, the Company’s Chief Sustainability Officer, stated: “Developing facilities with access to abundant renewable and zero-emissions electricity has always been paramount during site selection. Participating in the rapid response NYISO curtailment program, as well as being the anchor subscriber of a Community Solar project, not only conveys our commitment to environmental stewardship, but also lowers our cost of BTC production.”

Digihost continues to assess several alternatives including the purchase of carbon credits to reduce its already low carbon footprint. The Company’s long-term plans for growth include vertical integration of power production from low-cost, clean and renewable sources of energy.

Monthly Production Highlights for June 2023

  • Mined approximately 70 BTC. Of the 70 BTC mined, approximately 54 were self-mined with the remainder under JV hosting partnerships.

  • Production of BTC mined is expected to continue to ramp up over the remainder of the year as the Company finalizes the infrastructure setup at its most recently acquired site. Infrastructure installation has been completed at the Company’s other two sites.

  • The Company held cash, BTC and cash deposits of approximately $2.3 million as of June 30, 2023 (based on a BTC price of $30,477 as of June 30, 2023 per CoinMarketCap), which was in line with Digihost’s cash and crypto holdings of $2.7 million as of May 31, 2023 (based on a BTC price of $27,151 as of May 31, 2023 per CoinMarketCap).

  • During the month of June, the Company spent approximately $0.4 million on capital expenditure and mining infrastructure support equipment. Digihost continues to monitor its capital expenditures closely with self-funding to avoid equity dilution for its shareholders.

  • Consistent with management’s ongoing commitment to avoid equity dilution for its shareholders, the Company has continued to monetize a portion of its BTC production to fully fund its energy costs.

  • The Company did not purchase or sell any miners during the month.

Operations Update

As a result of the Company’s recent site acquisition in Q1 2023, Digihost’s consolidated operating capacity across its three sites has increased to approximately 100MW, representing approximately 2 EH of computing power.

The Company projects that total capacity will be fully deployed by the end Q3 2023. The plant will continue flexible operations to ensure that 24/7 dispatchable electrical supply is made available to upstate New York area residents, businesses and industry to mitigate impacts of power interruptions.

New video series urges retailers to prioritize reliability and returns when it comes to delivering for customers

Reliability. Ready-now. Returns.

These are the three things that retailers must get right when it comes to delivering for shoppers, according to industry experts.

Consumers expect more than ever before from the online shopping experience. They increasingly seek a range of delivery options and relevant communication. When retailers get this right, they can build loyalty with customers, encourage repeat purchase, and grow incremental revenues.

To help ecommerce companies focus on creating the best customer experience, leading figures from nShift, the global leader in parcel delivery management and shipment software, have released a series of three videos exploring "The three Rs of delivery management."

Each video explains how retailers can give shoppers the experience they seek and keep customers coming back for more by focusing on:

  1. Reliability – it's crucial that vendors keep their promises. If they offer next day shipping, they must deliver. So, it's vital that they use reliable delivery management software which is tried and tested. Outages in any part of the tech stack could lead to lost hours in the warehouse and consumers will bear the brunt of the delay.
  2. Returns – according to research from Klarna, over 80% of consumers wouldn't shop again with retailers, if their returns processes aren't right.[1] Operating a clear and simple returns process is no longer an optional extra.
  3. Ready now – retailers need to use multiple carrier companies to meet consumer demand. Building their own carrier library can add 10-20% to overall delivery management costs. Ecommerce companies must partner with delivery management software which features an extensive library of ready-made carrier connections.

Mattias Gredenhag, CTO at nShift, said: "Choosing the right delivery management software is crucial to delivering for customers. It needs to be ready to go with carrier connections and offer shoppers the returns experience they expect as standard. Crucially, it must be able to demonstrate a tried and tested history of success and reliability. If the tech collapses at a crucial moment, retailers risk losing customers – and revenue – forever.

"nShift is the global leader in delivery management software. We enable frictionless shipment and return of almost one billion shipments across 190 countries annually. We connect our customers to a library of over 1000 ready-made carrier connections. Brands, retailers and webshops count on us to deliver, every day."
