Camunda Recognized as A Strong Performer in Digital Process Automation Research

Camunda Recognized as A Strong Performer in Digital Process Automation Research

digital experience 14 Nov 2023

”Market focus on Endpoint Orchestration and Automation Fabric gets [Camunda] highest possible scores in Vision and Innovation.”

Camunda, the leader in process orchestration, enters The Forrester Wave™: Digital Process Automation Software as A Strong Performer receiving the highest scores possible in six criteria: vision, innovation, adoption, pricing flexibility and transparency, data-driven automation, and end-to-end orchestration. We believe this validates Camunda’s vision grounded in open architecture, cloud-native technology, and open standards as a welcomed alternative to monolithic automation solutions.

According to the report “DPA [Digital Process Automation] customers should look for providers that have top scores for the most important DPA deep needs such as: End-to-end orchestration. DPA deep use cases require a strong orchestration layer. The ability to build, visualize, and manage cloud and on-premises endpoints such as APIs, robotic process automation (RPA) bots, microservices, and enterprise applications will be a certainty. [...]”

“We are incredibly proud of our debut in the 2023 Forrester Wave™ DPA report,” said Jakob Freund, CEO at Camunda. “The Forrester Wave is a respected industry evaluation, and Camunda’s placement confirms for us that our vision of process orchestration is an increasingly viable and preferred approach for companies of all sizes.

“While we believe that pro-code capabilities are the foundation to tackle the complexity of any real-world automation, Camunda also brings the flexibility and extensibility of smart low-code accelerators to address a lot more use cases, by a lot more people, a lot faster.”

The Significance of Process Orchestration
Process Orchestration helps companies structure their most complex processes and connect the various endpoints of a process (people, systems, and devices) to achieve their most ambitious goals around end-to-end process automation and digital transformation. Camunda can orchestrate business processes across a variety of enterprise applications, cloud-native technologies, and task automation tools by using pre-built Connectors. Companies like Atlassian, ING, and Vodafone use process orchestration to increase operational excellence, boost customer experience, manage their risk and compliance and generally accelerate their digital transformation.

Why Open Architecture Matters
Camunda’s approach to open architecture is to design software that allows for greater flexibility and interoperability. This means organizations can adapt and scale their operations without being tied to a single vendor’s ecosystem.

Camunda is committed to continuing its focus on open standards and architecture, aiming to further disrupt the market and offer organizations more freedom in how they manage their most critical business processes and enable different personas from citizen to low-code developers to automate and orchestrate processes from end to end.

Celonis Pioneers the Next Generation of Process Intelligence with the Introduction of the Process Intelligence Graph

Celonis Pioneers the Next Generation of Process Intelligence with the Introduction of the Process Intelligence Graph

customer experience management 14 Nov 2023

The Process Intelligence Graph brings together process data, process knowledge, and the power of the Celonis ecosystem to help companies realize more value at greater speed

Celonis, the global leader in Process Mining, launched the Process Intelligence (PI) Graph at its global annual user conference, Celosphere. This novel technology captures and unifies an organization's process data, and enhances it with machine learning and deep process knowledge gathered from thousands of customer deployments over the past decade. The PI Graph is a system-agnostic, enriched digital twin of the business, providing a single process intelligence layer that supports improvements, automation, and system transformation across all applications. It sits at the heart of the Celonis platform and is a key enabler for emerging technologies like Generative AI.

The PI Graph is open to the world. It is constantly extended with process improvement knowledge from the Celonis ecosystem, creating the world’s first ‘Wikipedia of Process Intelligence’. And it provides that intelligence back through an easy-to-use Process Intelligence API.

Every company is made up of different departments that have different goals, speak different languages and use systems that don’t play well together. This fragmentation creates friction and reduces efficiency. What is needed is a common language that enables organizations to align and take action as a whole - to optimize their processes, which are the greatest lever for value and the fastest lever for change. The PI Graph provides this language through process intelligence.

Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis, comments: “The Process Intelligence Graph is the modern equivalent of the Rosetta stone - it’s the connective tissue that’s been missing in modern enterprises. By bringing together the building blocks of data, knowledge, and the power and scale of our ecosystem, we are building the foundation our customers need to make processes and entire value chains work for everyone. This level of cross-process, cross-system intelligence can only be achieved with the Celonis platform and the Process Intelligence Graph at its heart. The PI Graph enables technologies like AI and automation, feeding them the data they need for how processes actually run, contextualized with the knowledge of why they run the way they do, and how they can be improved.”

Delivering new levels of process excellence

The Celonis platform augments customers' existing technology stack by infusing process intelligence into every platform, tool, and application.

“Every CIO wants to be able to transform their business in a more intelligent and sustainable way. Celonis is a true innovator and partner in delivering that value and living up to that promise,” said Daniel de Rooij, SVP Digital Transformation at Reckitt. “It’s imperative to invest in the right foundations that enable emerging technologies, like AI. Celonis provides us with unique process intelligence that accomplishes this and fosters objective collaboration across the enterprise.”

R “Ray" Wang, CEO of Constellation Research, says: "Process Intelligence has rapidly evolved to become a strategic imperative for both business and IT executives. The Process Intelligence Graph and an open platform strategy are critical capabilities in an evolving IT stack. Companies will be able to embed Process Intelligence deeply into their operating models and technology stacks, enabling a new wave of powerful applications and use cases.”

New capabilities within Celonis’ platform

The company also announced a number of additional enhancements to its platform:

  • Process Copilotsimplifies and accelerates the process of identifying and capturing value opportunities across the business by connecting users to the Process Intelligence Graph through an intuitive chat interface.
  • Studio** has been redesigned with a new guided experience that makes it easier to build, test, and edit apps, dashboards, and actions within the Celonis platform.
  • Transformation Hub*** is the centralized location for quantifying the business impact of Celonis implementations. It gives customers the ability to visualize outcomes across processes, objectives, and value stages in one place.
  • Process Adherence Manager (previously released as Process Sphere) is now generally available. It enables unique model-driven analysis by integrating process mining, modeling, and conformance with real-world data so organizations can create and drive best practices across processes, departments and systems.

Sachin was recognised for his pioneering work in the tech sector and was described by the independent UK judging panel as the embodiment of entrepreneurial spirit, impact and purpose.

EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ recognises entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and success, and who work to improve the quality of life in their communities, countries and around the world. 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ in the UK and the programme has celebrated more than 2,000 business leaders since it was created.

This award really recognises the hard work, dedication and talent of the entire Builder family, it's their award,’’ said Sachin Dev Duggal, Founder, Builder.ai. “Builder was developed to level the playing field for entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes who want to build exceptional digitally powered businesses on their own terms but don’t necessarily have the tech skills, network, or budget to build their own solutions. We have always been purpose-led and believe the power of our platform allows anyone with an idea to make it a reality - which all-in-more encompasses the spirit of this award.”

This year, more than 160 entrepreneurs from across the UK entered the programme, with 24 regional winners shortlisted to compete for the prestigious UK title. Sachin will now go on to represent the UK at EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™.

He created Builder with the mission to make software development as easy as ordering pizza; powering the dreams of the next 500M digital builders, growing the company almost 9x since beta.

Established in 2016, Builder.ai continues to lead the industry with its AI-powered composable software platform that allows anyone with an idea to build an app (web or mobile) faster and more affordably. Clari Doubles its Customer Base in EMEA as Enterprises Consolidate on the Clari Revenue Platform to Run all Revenue Workflows

Clari Doubles its Customer Base in EMEA as Enterprises Consolidate on the Clari Revenue Platform to Run all Revenue Workflows

technology 14 Nov 2023

Customer demand for the Clari Revenue Platform surges following acquisitions of Wingman and Groove

Clari, the leader in Revenue Collaboration & Governance, has doubled its customer base in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) as enterprises are increasingly consolidating on the Clari Revenue Platform to run their end-to-end revenue process. Following Clari’s acquisitions of Wingman (June 2022) and Groove (August 2023), adoption of the Clari platform in EMEA has surged as customers seek a single enterprise-grade platform to manage all internal and external revenue workflows  including revenue forecasting, sales engagement, conversation intelligence, deal management, mutual action plans, and more.

ARM, Elsevier, Pearson, MHR, Ardoq, and Bynder are among the new customers that have recently signed on and are using Clari’s platform to gain unprecedented visibility, predictability, and control over the entire revenue process. Clari now operates in 18 countries throughout EMEA, serving a growing roster of midsize and enterprise customers across industries, and expects its rapid growth and expansion to continue.

“Revenue is the most important business process at every company, and we’re thrilled that more and more enterprises across EMEA are embracing the Clari platform to help them run it that way,” says Kathleen Hartigan, Group VP International Revenue at Clari. “Companies want to reduce tech spend and complexity while shrinking time to revenue and accelerating growth and we’re helping them do so without compromise. We’re excited to get the Clari platform into the hands of even more revenue teams to help them stop revenue leak and drive faster and more predictable revenue results.”

Businesses are seeing huge revenue benefits by bringing together all revenue-critical employees across sales, revenue operations, marketing, customer success, finance, and more to collaborate on and control every component of the revenue process for execution at scale. By managing revenue as an enterprise-wide process and not as a single departmental function, companies are able to spot opportunities, mitigate risks, and win every revenue moment.

Sam Sutton-Reid is the Director of Revenue Operations at Pearson. He tells us that adopting the Clari Revenue Platform produced immediate results.

“We went from having no idea of our forecast precision to hitting 97% accuracy within one week of using Clari’s Revenue Platform,” he said. “Thanks to Clari, we are now able to automatically capture every revenue-critical signal to power a more intelligent revenue process. Clari does the hard work for us, eliminating manual entry, cleansing information, and matching it back to our records.”

Replacing outmoded technology like CRM systems, spreadsheets, and business intelligence tools with a consolidated platform, purpose-built to run revenue, makes sense for any business, says Kathleen.

“Clari powers every revenue-critical employee and workflow, stopping revenue leak and accelerating time to revenue,” she says. “As a result, customers consistently achieve substantial improvements across key metrics, including 24% increases in win rates, 10% fewer slipped deals, 12-fold increases in forecast accuracy, and 80% improvements in productivity.”

Visual Storage Intelligence® Rebrands as

Visual Storage Intelligence® Rebrands as "Visual One Intelligence," Adds Cloud Monitoring Features

technology 13 Nov 2023

Visual One enters Infrastructure Monitoring and Cloud Cost Optimization markets to provide actionable insights to hybrid-infrastructure clients.

Visual One Intelligence™, formerly known as Visual Storage Intelligence®, is rebranding with a new name and new product offerings, significantly broadening their solutions portfolio from storage resource management to comprehensive infrastructure monitoring & optimization in hybrid, cloud, virtual, and hyperconverged infrastructures.

Visual One Intelligence™ surfaces interpretive insights and actionable recommendations for IT infrastructure and FinOps professionals to identify and prevent risks, understand and remediate existing problems, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize asset ROI.

By consolidating independent data elements into unified metrics, Visual One's platform correlates and interprets hybrid infrastructure data through easy-to-use visual analysis and AIOps reporting.

"Most estimates indicate over 80% of enterprise infrastructures are now spread across a combination of on-prem, cloud, and virtual resources," said Phil Godwin, President & COO of Visual One Intelligence™.

"We want to be a leading source for infrastructure teams looking to improve efficiency, ROI, and overall performance. That means evolving beyond our origins in storage, and I believe our new name and products reflect that evolution."

Newly Enhanced Industry-Leading Solutions Suite

Recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America in 2023 (and a top-100 fastest-growing IT services company), today's announcement is a significant milestone in the accelerated growth of Visual One Intelligence™.

With new infrastructure reporting capabilities and options to subscribe to either individualized product offerings or an all-inclusive suite, infrastructure teams can now dig deeper into cloud, storage, virtualization, SAN switch, unstructured data, and backup environments.

"Monitoring is only the first step in maintaining an effective infrastructure," said CTO Van Symons. "Our customers say they need better insights than just real time alerts. With clost costs often doubling or tripling what organizations plan for, IT Ops teams need optimization tools that will help them plan for the future and contain costs."

"We really take to heart what we hear from our clients," said Symons, "and we knew we could step up and confront challenges like these."

Charting New Paths for Cutting-Edge Infrastructure Models

Runaway cloud costs are a harbinger of changing priorities within enterprise infrastructure management. While consumption-based, pay-as-you-go (OpEx) pricing is standard for cloud and compute contracts, it is also increasingly replacing CapEx spending models for on-prem storage.

"Most IT clients' mission and business-critical application infrastructure remains on-premises. IT concerns about loss of infrastructure decision control, escalating cloud costs and increased operational complexity have created demand for on-premises as a service infrastructure consumption model," say Gartner analysts Jeff VogelTony Harvey, and Tim Zimmerman in the 2023 Gartner® Market Guide for Infrastructure Consumption Services (ICS).*

For IT leaders, the best solution is infrastructure monitoring & cost management tools that can instantly identify both risks and opportunities – much like Visual One Intelligence™.

"Infrastructure is always evolving, and we will evolve with it," said Director of Technical Operations Jeff Symons.

"With endless observability tools on the market, Visual One Intelligence™ aims to be the only tool you need for impactful insights across your hybrid infrastructure stack."
