Sentra Launches ChatDLP Anonymizer Browser Extension to Avoid Sensitive Data Leaks in Public Language Models

Sentra Launches ChatDLP Anonymizer Browser Extension to Avoid Sensitive Data Leaks in Public Language Models

data security 8 Jun 2023

New feature allows organizations to automatically redact sensitive information from ChatGPT and Google Bard prompts

Sentra, the cloud data security leader, today announced Sentra ChatDLP Anonymizer, a new feature that redacts Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from ChatGPT and Google Bard prompts. ChatDLP enhances organizations' data security by minimizing the vulnerability of critical data, enabling enterprises to leverage the advantages of new technology to drive business growth while keeping their most sensitive data secure. By implementing Sentra ChatDLP Anonymizer, organizations can ensure compliance with key privacy frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), mitigating the risk of sensitive information being ingested into public large language models (LLM). This further reinforces Sentra's core mission of providing end-to-end data security no matter where it sits in a technology stack.

The advent of generative AI platforms has introduced a new level of risk to individual users and organizations, potentially compromising the security of valuable information. While LLMs have already proven to be beneficial to productivity, their capabilities also raise real concerns about data privacy and security. Sentra's ChatDLP engine uses Sentra's core capabilities as a Data Posture Security Management (DSPM) platform, offering comprehensive visibility for enterprises to gain a thorough understanding of their data and its security measures. ChatDLP provides the ability to ensure with high accuracy that no sensitive data will be leaked from an organization to ChatGPT or Google Bard, enabling organizations to embrace these technological advancements with the proper guardrails.

"Both ChatGPT and Google Bard have already proven to be industry-altering productivity tools, and have the potential to disrupt millions of everyday tasks," said Ron Reiter, co-founder and CTO at Sentra. "However, in the race to capitalize on the power of this emerging technology, organizations are taking on new security and data privacy risks. Over the past few months, we were encouraged by a number of CISOs and security professionals to develop and deliver ChatDLP Anonymizer as a logical extension to our DSPM platform. By implementing this innovative technology, enterprises will be able to feel confident that employees are using AI language models safely."

Sentra's ChatDLP Anonymizer leverages innovative Generative AI-based Named Entity Recognition models and regular expressions to effectively filter out sensitive information including names, email addresses, credit card numbers and phone numbers. The new feature is also available in an enterprise version that relays all ChatGPT and Google Bard prompts for redaction within the customer's cloud infrastructure. This ensures sensitive data is kept secure, and in compliance with a privacy-preserving classification engine, as well as features that provide full visibility and control.

ChatDLP is available today for ChatGPT users, and will be made available for Google Bard users beginning the week of June 12.

artificial intelligence 8 Jun 2023

Omneky's Large Language Model improves the speed and scale of AI generated outputs

Omneky, a generative AI advertising platform, today announced the launch of its latest innovation: the Advertising LLM (Large Language Model). Omneky's LLM enables marketing and creative teams to generate personalized content faster, more creatively and at scale, while staying fully aligned with a company's brand.

In the company's pursuit to improve the speed and scale of AI generated outputs, the Advertising LLM functions as a knowledge layer between Omneky's proprietary algorithms and the brand's data, training on both structured and unstructured data sets to generate content based on deeper insights while remaining on brand. The LLM is a custom model and can be vectorized and hosted on-premise to ensure data security. This capability enables Omneky's AI to be more creative, generating new ideas for each target audience faster while remaining brand safe and data safe.

Omneky's Advertising LLM tool vectorizes all of the brand's structured and unstructured data, as well as data from across the web, to train a custom LLM that generates unique marketing strategies and ad creative that accurately represent a brand's values and goals. As such, the Advertising LLM is designed to quickly understand a brand's voice, products, and intended audience, all in an effort to streamline marketing and unlock insights from across the funnel to power omnichannel personalized experiences faster and at scale.

"We're excited to continue expanding our unique product offerings with the introduction of Omneky's Advertising LLM to our customers," said Hikari Senju, founder and CEO of Omneky. "Our team focused on developing a proprietary LLM that further revolutionizes advertising by enabling businesses to connect with their target audiences on a deeper and more intuitive level. In conjunction with our generative AI offerings, this allows Omneky to improve the speed and scale of our AI generated outputs and earn our customers trust that our AI deeply understands their brand, who they are and who they aspire to be in all the marketing communications."

The creation of this new AI-based solution by Omneky illustrates the company's commitment to innovation as the first mover in the generative AI space, as well as bringing new products to market on a frequent basis. This new product launch follows Omneky's recent announcement of the Product Generation Pro feature and the Creative Assistant tool. Earlier this year, Omneky also announced a series of new hires across all business units as part of the company's continued growth to more than 50 employees worldwide. Late last year, Omneky announced a total seed round funding of $10+ million.

CreatorIQ Study Finds Marketers Are Diverting Digital Advertising Budget to Creator-Led Marketing

CreatorIQ Study Finds Marketers Are Diverting Digital Advertising Budget to Creator-Led Marketing

reports 8 Jun 2023

Advanced measurement solutions help 94% of brands attribute sales to creator-led efforts, which are consistently outperforming traditional digital channels such as search and email

CreatorIQ, the end-to-end creator marketing platform powering efforts for over 1,000 brands and agencies, today released survey findings showing brands are diverting digital advertising budgets to creator-led marketing initiatives.

At a top-line, 67% of surveyed marketers report increasing their investment in influencer marketing from 2022 to 2023. Of those brands whose budgets increased, only 24% are working with a net-new budget and 76% are diverting the funds from other marketing activities, including digital ads.

The majority of marketers cite the advancements in measurement for this shift to creator-led marketing efforts, which are enabling them to understand both top- and bottom-of-funnel ROI down to the dollar. Not only can 94% of organizations attribute sales to creator content on social media, but marketers also report that creator-led efforts are consistently outperforming traditional digital advertising channels.

“Over the past few years, advancements in measurement solutions have enabled creator marketing to be compared alongside traditional digital channels,” said Conor Begley, Chief Strategy Officer at CreatorIQ. “Now, at a time when macroeconomic factors are constricting ad budgets, brands and agencies have continued to double down on creator-led efforts, which have actually proven to be more efficient for driving impressions, engagement, conversions, and other full-funnel KPIs.”

Some additional findings include:

  • When it comes to creator compensation, the most frequent methods for paying creators include pay-for-content (60%), affiliate commissions based on sales (45%), and performance based on clicks (33%).
  • Of the marketers surveyed, 77% reported actively transforming creators who share organically about their organization into brand partners, which allows them to yield authentic content from individuals with a pre-existing passion for their brand’s products or message.
  • The main reasons marketers attribute to creators converting are Authentic and Relatable (48%), Aspirational and Instructive (21%), Entertaining, (15%), Easier To Reach Consumers (15%).

The report surveyed 132 marketers who directly engage in influencer marketing, with 68% from brands and 32% on the agency side. This includes organizations of all sizes, with 37% of respondents from companies with more than 1,000 employees.

Effectual Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 Compliance, Demonstrating Commitment to Data Security and Privacy

Effectual Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 Compliance, Demonstrating Commitment to Data Security and Privacy

data security 8 Jun 2023

Effectual, an innovative cloud service provider, has achieved System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance following an independent audit process.

A SOC 2 examination is designed to ensure that a service provider securely manages its clients' data in a way that protects the provider's interests as well as its clients' privacy.

Achieving Type 1 and Type 2 compliance demonstrates Effectual's ongoing commitment to protecting client data by adhering to the trust principles set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for data security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Both audits were performed by the licensed and accredited CPA firm Coalfire, which issued Effectual's compliance reports.

The Type 1 audit process validates compliance based on a snapshot in time. The Type 2 audit tests if a company upholds its security posture over a period of time, as well as the controls' design, ensuring sustained compliance rather than a momentary achievement. As such, Type 2 is considered the gold standard, ensuring that a company is managing data in a way that protects the organization as well as its customers.

This audit strategy adopted by Effectual demonstrates that security is embedded in the company's culture and that all its employees work together to maintain compliance daily.

"Achieving SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance will give our customers even greater confidence in our ability to keep their data safe—and our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy," said Darren Cook, Effectual's Chief Security Officer.
