AWS Marketplace features Boomi’s category-leading, low-code integration and data services solution to help organizations deliver great customer experiences, capitalize on market opportunities, allow technology to scale, and optimize existing resources

Boomi™, the intelligent connectivity and automation leader, today announced that the Boomi platform – a category-leading integration platform as a service (iPaaS) – is now available as an Intelligent Automation solution in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog with thousands of software listings from independent software vendors that make it easy to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

AWS customers can accelerate their automation initiatives by seamlessly connecting and integrating enterprise-wide data sources, applications, and systems – such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and ecommerce platforms, among others – both on-premises and on the cloud with Boomi’s low-code platform.

Research by Deloitte found that while organizations are gradually maturing in their intelligent automation initiatives, a majority (57%) still fall far short of ideal results, with respondents rating their automation transformation as 5 out of 10 or lower. Survey respondents indicated the most significant barriers in their end-to-end automation journeys include challenges in integrating various solutions (62%) and lack of skills and experience (55%).

As the number of applications, systems, clouds, and data sources continues to proliferate, organizations face greater challenges with data silos, process fragmentation, and the extensive time and cost required to implement transformational technologies. AWS customers can accelerate time-to-value in their digital transformation and automation initiatives by accessing Boomi’s cloud-native platform in AWS Marketplace. IT professionals, developers, citizen developers, and line of business users with little technical experience can quickly and easily integrate and automate the flow of data between applications, systems, data sources, and independent software vendors’ solutions in AWS Marketplace.

The Boomi platform also provides tools for data mapping, transformation, and validation, as well as monitoring and analytics capabilities to manage and track integration processes.

“Organizations across all industries are turning to intelligent automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) solutions in an effort to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and be more nimble in today’s dynamic business landscape,” said Ed Macosky, Chief Product Officer at Boomi. “But for these technologies to be effective they need accurate, organized, real-time data and full visibility into processes, workflows, and IT stacks. With Boomi, organizations can quickly and easily connect everything to simplify complex processes and capture the full value of AI-powered automation throughout their environments.”

As the pioneer of iPaaS, with one of the largest global customer bases among integration platform vendors, Boomi touts a growing community of more than 100,000 members and boasts a worldwide network of approximately 800 partners. Included on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ and Inc. 5000 lists as one of America’s fastest growing and most innovative technology companies, Boomi was recently named to Nucleus Research's list of “Hot Companies to Watch in 2023.” The company has also won three International Stevie® Awards, for Company of the Year (two years in a row) and Product Innovation; the Gold Globee® Award in the Platform as a Service (PaaS) category; the Merit Award for Technology in the Cloud Services category; the Stratus Award as a Global Leader in Cloud Computing 2022; and received the prestigious 5-star rating in the CRN Partner Program Guide for two consecutive years.

Business teams will be able to access trusted and governed data in Snowflake from within Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Alation, Inc., the data intelligence company, today announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference, Snowflake Summit 2023, the launch of Alation Connected Sheets for Snowflake. This product enables users to access governed, trusted, and up-to-date data in Snowflake directly from Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Spreadsheets remain the most popular data analytics tool in use, with 78 million users worldwide¹ using the tool every day. Spreadsheets are also some of the most error-prone analytics tools, as 90% of spreadsheets contain errors due to incorrect or out-of-date data. These data quality issues can have significant negative impacts on the decision-making that such spreadsheets support.

With Alation Connected Sheets for Snowflake, business users can now instantly find, understand, and trust the data they need – without leaving their spreadsheet. This product enables business users to access Snowflake source data directly from the spreadsheets in which they work without the need to understand SQL or rely on central data teams. Alation Connected Sheets also enable data governance teams to set access policies on which users can access various data objects.

“The Data Team at Lightspeed Systems is working to establish a data-driven culture,” said Brian Truong, Data Platform Manager at Lightspeed Systems. “Part of that culture includes empowering teams across the business to access trusted and secure data directly from the source. With Alation Connected Sheets for Snowflake, both business and technical users can self-serve the data they need and start analyzing it without waiting for a response from the engineers on the Data Team. Being able to instantly retrieve data from one centralized location – our Snowflake data source – and use published queries or tables in spreadsheets with confidence is a productivity game changer for the day-to-day activities of our spreadsheet users.”

“Many of our customers rely on Snowflake as a primary data source,” said Jonathan Bruce, VP of Product Management at Alation. “By strengthening our strategic partnership with Snowflake through Alation Connected Sheets, customers can harness their trusted data within the Data Cloud to better manage and utilize the most pervasive enterprise tool – the spreadsheet. This integration makes governed data in Snowflake accessible to the millions of business users who live in spreadsheets. As a result, Snowflake adoption grows and becomes frictionless.”

Alation Connected Sheets for Snowflake helps users:

  • Deliver stronger data governance: Data management teams can set fine-grained policies to manage which users have access to which data sets.
  • Democratize access to data: Users can quickly find, select, and filter datasets and SQL queries to import into the spreadsheet – without code, manual data entry, or relying on technical resources.
  • Ensure analysis remains up to date: Users can maintain spreadsheet accuracy with automatic-refresh data scheduling.
  • Share data connections: Save time by connecting to Snowflake once and allowing the team to refresh reports with the same secure connection; this eliminates redundant query loads and reduces costs.

MessageGears Strengthens Its Position as a Leading Composable CDP Provider, Showcased at Summit 2023

MessageGears Strengthens Its Position as a Leading Composable CDP Provider, Showcased at Summit 2023

customer engagement 28 Jun 2023

At Snowflake’s annual user conference, joint customer OpenTable will share how it activates robust, personalized campaigns using both solutions, and MessageGears will participate in an exclusive panel on Building the Future of MarTech.

MessageGears today announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference, Snowflake Summit 2023, that it is strengthening its partnership with Snowflake, the Data Cloud company, in helping big consumer brands segment and access large volumes of customer data without the need to replicate, sync, or store it somewhere new. As a reflection of this partnership and commitment, MessageGears is participating in Snowflake’s Summit 2023 conference for a third year.

MessageGears enables enterprise marketers to leverage zero- and first-party data to engage with their customers in highly personalized ways. By building on Snowflake, MessageGears eliminates the latency, inflexibility, and other limitations that large organizations face when using traditional SaaS marketing clouds, customer engagement platforms, and CDPs.

MessageGears became a Powered By Snowflake partner in 2022. MessageGears is a Snowflake connected application that leverages the Snowflake Data Cloud.

The combination of MessageGears with Snowflake provides B2C brands with composable customer data platform capabilities as well as cross-channel messaging capabilities that are agile, secure, and cost effective. Rakuten, Party City, OpenTable, Frontdoor, American Home Shield, Indeed, Sherwin-Williams, and Expedia are among the brands leveraging MessageGears with Snowflake.

Joint customer OpenTable, a major digital hospitality brand, will be hosting a session at Snowflake Summit 2023. The company will share how its relatively small marketing team is able to activate robust customer data – using both MessageGears and the Snowflake Data Cloud – to implement hyper-personalized campaigns.

“Previously, we had to put in a data request to the CDP, if that data even existed for the provider to calculate the data. And then, the next day, that data would be ready and we’d have to vet the data. If it wasn’t correct, then we’d have to wait another day for the provider to adjust it,” said Joseph Lee, Senior Technical Engagement Marketing Manager at OpenTable. “Now there’s no more data syncing from an old system into another system. All of our marketing channels sit on top of Snowflake. MessageGears does the deployment. So, all of our personalized emails can then trigger off of our Snowflake data set. It goes out, and then it stores right back into Snowflake — which is also a huge plus.”

Leveraging the combined power of MessageGears and Snowflake, joint customers are able to develop, scale, and operate their marketing programs with significantly less operational burden.

“By utilizing the Snowflake Data Cloud in combination with the advanced segmentation and activation solution of MessageGears, customers can avoid the constraints of cookie-cutter data models,” said Tarik Dwiek, Head of Technology Alliances at Snowflake. “Direct control of their data enables companies to properly represent business-specific data models like customers, products, transactions, behavioral data, locations, coupons, and more.”

Industry leading applications are Powered by Snowflake. By building on Snowflake, product and engineering teams are able to develop, scale, and operate their applications without operational burden, delivering differentiated products to their customers. With the Powered by Snowflake program, builders get access to resources to help them design, market, and operate their applications in the Data Cloud. “The market is seeing a drop in overall packaged CDP utilization compared to a few years ago, especially as many companies find themselves in a kind of MarTech reckoning, trying to rationalize each solution in their stack,” said Natalia Dykyj, CMO at MessageGears. “We’re excited to return to this year’s Snowflake Summit to share insights on composable CDP approaches and customer engagement use cases when compared to traditional, packaged CDP models. The composable benefits for large data teams that are grappling with questions around data access and privacy are transformational.”

MessageGears will be speaking with other industry leaders at Snowflake Summit on the CXO Panel of Powered by Snowflake Partners: Building the Future of MarTech on the Data Cloud to discuss the rise of the composable approach.
