A report released today by Arcadia (Arcadia.io), a leading data analytics platform for healthcare, found that less than 60% of healthcare organizations' data is being used to make intelligent business decisions.1 However, more than 9-in-10 healthcare leaders agree that access to quality data across all platforms and workflows is critical to an organization's performance.1
"Data must be high-quality, accurate, and free flowing for health systems to trust and utilize data to guide decision-making," said Kate Behan, MD, FACP, Chief Medical Officer at Arcadia. "It's equally critical that analytics synthetize data into useful information and actions to deliver quality care that improves patient outcomes."
The insights come from a pulse survey on the current state of healthcare analytics platforms conducted by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and Arcadia. Additional findings on data utilization within hospitals and health systems from executive, technology, and clinical leaders include:
"Unlocking big data is critical for the healthcare industry to achieve transformation," said Michael Meucci, Arcadia President and CEO. "While the findings show that healthcare leaders grasp the importance of high-quality data, significant opportunity remains for the industry to routinely leverage data and technology to improve care delivery."

Nylas, the state-of-the-art communications platform giving developers universal access to email, calendar, and contacts providers through a single API integration, today announced its partnership with Devfortress, a leader in software development, design, and project management consulting and services. With this partnership in place, companies can now access Nylas’ Email, Calendar, and Contacts APIs alongside Devfortress’ team of product managers, developers, and digital designers in order to accelerate development cycles and bring innovative and ROI-driving email and scheduling features into their applications.
The combination of Nylas and Devfortress means businesses can leverage modern APIs and development services to enhance productivity and operational efficiency while simultaneously delivering cutting-edge features and lasting user experiences.
“Developer experience and productivity go beyond just faster and more efficient development cycles, it means businesses can deliver meaningful experiences and services to their customers, faster. Given the immense workload development teams face, many are turning to third-party APIs and integration services to help them meet their deadlines without increasing burnout,” said Jesse Ervin, Chief Revenue Officer at Nylas. “The combination of Nylas and Devfortress will help businesses ensure seamless integrations into critical communication channels such as email and calendars so they can spend more time on their core business operations and their customers.”
In recent years, APIs have become business-critical tools as the majority of developers and technical teams are faced with smaller teams, tighter deadlines, and more work. In their 2023 State of Developer Experience report, Nylas found that 98% of developers said that they view APIs as a key contributor to helping themselves and their teams get their work done.
“Partnering with Nylas allows us to expand our tools and services that we can bring to our customers,” said Shao Hang He, President of Devfortress. “By bringing Nylas’ communications APIs into our development, design, and customized software solutions for web, mobile, and e-commerce products, we’re confident that our customers will have everything they need in one solution in order to meet their deadlines and modernize their tech stack.”
Integrating new features and communication channels as a way to drive a better customer experience along with additional revenue is particularly critical within the e-commerce industry, where Amazon just experienced their single largest sales day in company history as part of their Amazon Prime Day event.

Tango, the browser extension and desktop application that automatically generates how-to guides while you work, announced the launch of the Software Guides Community: a dedicated space for training, operations, and enablement professionals—the people who power processes at organizations—to connect with peers and learn from experts at companies like Loom, Slack, and Clearbit.
The number of new software tools and applications used within organizations has been steadily increasing, with large companies reportedly using an average of 211 applications. Companies spend a lot of money on software—50 percent more per year on average—but the truth is, most software rollouts fail to meet expectations and deliver on ROI.
Digital adoption—the practice of using new software and systems to improve processes, increase productivity, and achieve objectives—is a pillar of many organizational strategies. When executed right, it turns new tools into drivers of business outcomes. But when executed wrong, new software can end up causing more stress and frustration. That's where software training can make or break a team's experience—and a company's success.
For organizations to keep up with the rate of change of modern business, digital adoption is critical. Unfortunately, the people responsible for developing training programs and software rollouts are under-resourced and under-appreciated. It's all too common for a single person to be tasked with these large cross-functional projects with little support, all while juggling multiple other priorities.
The Software Guides Community provides a place for these people to learn from each other and get the resources they need to help their organizations run more efficiently and maximize the impact of their technology stack.
"We have always recognized the value of the people behind the processes, and we built Tango for them," said Ken Babcock, CEO and co-founder of Tango. "We've met many talented operational leaders that we realized would benefit tremendously from learning from one another. The Software Guides Community is for them.
The Software Guides Community is for business professionals who:
"Being in charge of developing processes and procedures from the ground up can be challenging and lonely," said Brittany Arbuckle, Training and Curriculum Specialist at Public Consulting Group. "It makes all the difference to have a community of people with experience you can share with and learn from to grow in your own role. In the Software Guides Community, I've gotten valuable advice from peers that helped me push some key projects past the finish line—and get recognized for the impact I've had on the business."

OneTrust, the market-defining leader for trust intelligence, today announced it is the top-ranking company for 2022 market share in IDC's latest Worldwide Data Privacy Compliance Software Market Shares report: OneTrust Continues to Hold Its Large Lead Over the Market. The report, released in May 2023, notes the company represents a 30% market share with twice the nearest competitor's share.
The data privacy management software market saw continued strong growth in 2022 despite market shifts and economic headwinds, according to IDC.1
"Privacy is a key pillar of the future of trust. Trust is an up-leveling of the security conversation to include attributes such as risk, compliance, privacy, and even business ethics," said Ryan O'Leary, research director, Privacy and Legal Technology at IDC.2 "These elements transform the conversation from what "must" a company do to prevent negative outcomes to what "should" a company do."
Today, several key trends are driving the demand for data privacy software:
"The value of understanding your data, where it resides, and how to manage it responsibly cannot be overstated," said Ojas Rege, general manager, Privacy & Data Governance Cloud at OneTrust. "This is why data privacy has emerged as a competitive differentiator for our customers, transforming compliance efforts into trust initiatives. As privacy and AI regulation expands and evolves around the globe, OneTrust is the only platform combining the automation and regulatory intelligence organizations need to remain agile amid continuous change. Our sustained market share leadership is a testament to our incredible customers and dedicated team."
According to IDC's report, data visibility and data management are persistent challenges for companies. Data discovery is fundamental to understanding and managing data and a foundational exercise for any strong data privacy program.
OneTrust Data Discovery is the tool companies use to provide this foundation of visibility and control for any data, privacy, or security team. With AI-powered data classification, built-in regulatory intelligence, and automated policy enforcement, Data Discovery delivers the capabilities enterprises need to automate data security and governance.
OneTrust Data Discovery is available on OneTrust's Privacy & Data Governance Cloud, the unified platform for security, marketing, and privacy teams to ensure the responsible use of data throughout their organization. Privacy Management, Data Discovery & Governance, and Consent & Preferences come together to help organizations better understand their data across the business, meet regulatory requirements, and provide transparency and choice to individuals.

Celigo, the leading integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that serves both IT and business users, today announced the appointment of James Whitemore as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In his new role, Whitemore will be responsible for driving Celigo’s global marketing strategy and execution as the company looks to strengthen its position as the leading voice in a rapidly growing market.
“We are thrilled that James is joining Celigo. James is more than a marketing leader; he’s a true business leader who understands our automation-first vision,” said Jan Arendtsz, founder and CEO of Celigo. “His wealth of experience as a Fortune 500 executive and in high-growth early stage companies completes our leadership team and is the key piece to align all business functions towards our next era of innovation and growth.”
A veteran tech executive with more than 30 years of experience across the cloud, networking, and data storage industries, Whitemore will usher in a dynamic era of profitable revenue growth and market disruption for Celigo. He most recently served as CMO and EVP at data storage giant NetApp, where he launched an award-winning integrated digital marketing strategy that resulted in rapid growth of their Public Cloud business.
Previously, Whitemore held the title of CMO at SolidFire, an award-winning all-flash storage startup, where he established the company as a market leader and helped lead to its eventual acquisition by NetApp in 2016. In addition to serving in executive leadership positions at IBM Europe, Intrado, and SAVVIS Communications, Whitemore spent nearly a decade leading the marketing functions at Sun Microsystems Storage Products Group.
“It is an honor to join Celigo during this exciting time,” said Whitemore. “Celigo has built an impressive platform with a loyal customer base that is unmatched in this industry. As companies see their application environment continue to grow in complexity, the need for the right automation and integration solutions will only increase. I am eager to spearhead Celigo’s marketing efforts as we advance our technology in the market.”
iPaaS has moved to early mainstream adoption globally as enterprise users rely on it to integrate applications and data as well as ecosystems, APIs and business processes. Organizations are also gravitating to iPaaS to replace legacy integration platforms that are too costly and complex for modern integration delivery initiatives. Furthermore, the proliferation of hybrid cloud models across the enterprise will further accelerate adoption and revenue growth in the iPaaS market sector, which Insight Partners expects to reach $8.4B worldwide by 2025.
As the leading integration-driven automation company, Celigo provides an enterprise-class platform for integration and business process automation at cloud scale. Celigo can automate business processes up to 100% and ensure best practices and compliance with pre-built automations. This empowers line-of-business users to confidently create and manage automations to fit their changing business processes while allowing IT users to capitalize on the robust administration capabilities including monitoring, activity logging, and connector policy management.
