marketing artificial intelligence

The Starr Conspiracy has launched Battle Card Builder, a free AI-powered competitive intelligence tool designed to give B2B technology marketing and sales teams research on a company and three competitors in roughly four minutes.
The tool combines automated research with sales-oriented guidance, including competitor pricing, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, recent company moves, objection handling, discovery questions and recommended talk tracks. The agency says the product is built on the same AI research pipeline and model tier used by its paid GTM Kernel offering.
The launch addresses a longstanding problem with competitive battle cards: turning large volumes of market research into information that sellers can actually use during buyer conversations. Gartner has similarly identified the need for battle cards to move beyond lengthy or technology-heavy information toward concise competitive guidance that sellers can apply in active deals. Gartner's 2025 research also describes AI as a way to turn static battle cards into more dynamic sources of competitive insight.
Battle Card Builder asks users to enter their company information and select three competitors. After email confirmation, the system generates a private report containing one battle card for each competitor and a cross-competitor analysis. The company says the research takes about four minutes, with no account, password or credit card required.
Each competitor profile includes an executive summary, evidence-backed strengths and weaknesses, pricing intelligence, recent moves from the previous 12 months, products and differentiators, and customer proof points.
The sales component goes further by translating that research into objection handlers, competitive landmines, talk tracks and discovery questions. The system also identifies situations in which a sales team might press an advantage or modify its deal strategy.
Across the three competitors, the tool analyzes category dynamics, buyer choice factors, structural advantages and alternatives that customers may consider beyond the named vendors.
Battle Card Builder is also intended as a demonstration of The Starr Conspiracy's broader GTM Kernel. The free tool currently uses three of the Kernel's 33 components: Category, Competitors and Choice Factors.
The broader concept is a structured, machine-readable source of go-to-market information that can combine external research with a company's own knowledge and data. The Starr Conspiracy says the Kernel can then provide that information to AI agents through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
That architecture is significant as marketing organizations begin connecting multiple AI systems to the same strategic information. MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications with external data and tools, and the protocol's July 2026 specification introduced changes aimed at scalability, authorization and enterprise deployments.
The Starr Conspiracy's current GTM Kernel materials describe the system as a structured foundation for downstream activities including content, campaigns, sales enablement and advertising, with AI research agents used to populate competitive and market information.
The practical implication is that competitive intelligence can become more than a document delivered to sales representatives. If the underlying information is structured and accessible to software, it can potentially become context for content systems, sales tools and AI agents operating across the go-to-market stack.
The company is positioning Battle Card Builder as an entry point into that model. Rather than selling the free tool simply as a research generator, The Starr Conspiracy is using three competitive-intelligence components to demonstrate how a broader GTM knowledge layer can feed both human teams and AI systems.
Competitive intelligence has historically depended on analyst research, win-loss analysis, product marketing teams and manually maintained battle cards. AI is changing the workflow by enabling automated collection and synthesis of information from public sources.
The emerging distinction is between AI that merely summarizes competitors and systems that connect competitive intelligence to specific sales and marketing actions. Gartner's recent research specifically highlights generative and agentic AI in competitive and market intelligence as a mechanism for more dynamic insights and sales-marketing alignment.
The next stage of AI-powered competitive intelligence is likely to depend less on generating another report and more on maintaining a trusted, structured source of context that multiple applications can use.
For B2B technology companies, that could connect competitive research with positioning, AEO, content creation, sales enablement and campaign execution. The key challenge will be maintaining source quality, freshness, governance and human oversight as AI agents increasingly act on that information.
Battle Card Builder gives The Starr Conspiracy a lightweight way to expose that architecture to B2B teams while demonstrating how competitive intelligence can become an input into a broader AI-native go-to-market system.
