marketing artificial intelligence

Yeahka is entering a new phase of international expansion as the Hong Kong-listed payment technology company combines overseas payment growth with early commercial applications of artificial intelligence (AI), including agentic payments and AI-powered merchant software.
The company reported first-half 2026 results on August 27, posting profit of RMB 41.92 million. According to the announcement, Yeahka recorded its highest half-year profit margin since 2023 and achieved year-over-year profit growth for the fourth consecutive first half. The company also announced its first interim dividend.
The strongest growth came from Hong Kong, Macao and overseas markets. Gross payment volume (GPV) across these markets reached approximately RMB 6 billion, representing a 293.8% year-over-year increase. The business recorded a 63.1-basis-point take rate and 43.5% gross margin, with overseas markets contributing an increasing share of profit from the company's payment operations.
Yeahka is targeting further international expansion, with a stated goal of raising Hong Kong, Macao and overseas markets' contribution to approximately 50% of total payment-business profit over the next three years.
The payments market is increasingly converging with merchant software, embedded financial services and AI-driven automation. Payment providers are competing not only on transaction processing but also on the software and services surrounding merchant operations.
Yeahka's strategy reflects this shift. Its overseas approach focuses on local consumer and merchant payments while combining payment infrastructure with value-added merchant services. The company said it intends to use its broader payments and merchant-software portfolio to provide integrated services aimed at helping merchants manage costs and improve operational efficiency.
The emergence of agentic payments adds another layer to this competition. AI agents that can initiate transactions within user-authorized parameters could eventually change how consumers interact with commerce platforms, although adoption will depend on authentication, security, authorization and financial-institution integration.
Yeahka's international expansion and AI strategy are increasingly interconnected. The company is researching agentic-payment applications across e-commerce, local services, gaming and advertising and has begun R&D collaboration with international financial institutions.
Through its investment platform Fushi, Yeahka has also commercialized an AI-agent-based merchant software product. This indicates an effort to move AI beyond experimentation into tools that can directly support merchant operations.
Internally, Yeahka is applying AI to product development, operations and administrative work. The company says autonomous product-development processes and digital employees can reduce repetitive workloads and accelerate development cycles.
For the broader marketing technology ecosystem, the advertising and commerce use cases are particularly relevant. If agentic systems begin handling transactions, marketing platforms may increasingly need to optimize not only for human customers but also for software agents acting on their behalf.
