Vimeo, a leading video experience platform for creators and enterprises, has announced the appointment of technology veteran Robert ("Bob") Petrocelli as Chief Product & Technology Officer, effective September 9, 2024. Petrocelli will oversee Vimeo's global product and engineering teams, driving technology innovation and enhancing video experiences for businesses, creators, and professionals worldwide.

Bob Petrocelli’s Background and Experience

• Extensive Leadership in Technology: Petrocelli brings over 35 years of experience in technology and product leadership. Prior to joining Vimeo, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Pluralsight, and previously held CTO roles at Intelerad Medical Systems and Datto, where he was instrumental in the strategy leading to Datto’s IPO on the NYSE. Earlier, Bob founded GreenBytes, which was acquired by Oracle in 2014, and co-founded Heartlab, acquired by Agfa-Gevaert in 2005.
• Educational Background: Petrocelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island, where he was also an Office of Naval Research Undergraduate Fellow in Physical Oceanography.
