Tec-Do Details AI Marketing Model Behind 82.2% Gross Margin

Tec-Do is highlighting the financial structure behind its reported 82.2% consolidated gross margin and approximately 43.0% net profit margin for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, attributing the results to its service-fee revenue model, technology-enabled marketing solutions and AI-driven operating structure.

The company says its financial model differs from conventional advertising agencies because it primarily recognizes transaction-related service fees rather than total media expenditure as revenue. That distinction can materially affect reported gross-margin percentages because media costs are not included in the same revenue denominator.

More than 89% of Tec-Do's revenue, according to the company's disclosure, comes from core technology-enabled solutions, which it says generate gross margins of approximately 89% to 91%. Customized influencer marketing represents a smaller portion of the business and carries higher execution costs.

AI Becomes Part of the Operating Model

Tec-Do attributes part of its scalability to Navos, its AI-powered marketing multi-agent platform, and Tec-Chi, its specialized multimodal large language model (MLLM).

The company's platform covers functions including market intelligence, creative generation, campaign execution and performance optimization. Tec-Do says AI automation allows these workflows to be standardized and expanded across markets without a proportional increase in manual operating costs. Its current platform architecture positions Navos as an orchestration layer connecting specialized marketing agents.

The development reflects a broader shift in MarTech toward AI systems that execute marketing workflows rather than simply provide recommendations. Tec-Do has described its newer Navos 2.0 platform as moving from question answering toward direct task execution through coordinated AI agents.

Revenue Structure Matters for Agency Comparisons

Tec-Do's explanation also highlights why comparing its margins directly with traditional advertising agencies can be misleading.

An agency that records gross media spend as revenue will have a substantially different revenue denominator from a business that recognizes only service fees. Tec-Do says its model therefore produces a higher reported gross-margin percentage because media costs are paid separately from the service-fee revenue it recognizes.

The company also identifies preferential enterprise income tax treatment for qualifying high-technology enterprises, government grants and bank interest as contributors to its reported net profit margin.

Those factors are separate from operating efficiency and should therefore be considered when assessing the sustainability of the reported net margin.

Market Landscape

The economics of AI-enabled marketing services are becoming increasingly important as agencies and MarTech providers seek to automate content production, campaign management and optimization.

Tec-Do's model sits between software and marketing services. Its proprietary AI infrastructure is designed to standardize work that would traditionally require specialist teams, while its service-fee structure separates its economics from media-spend-based agency models.

The company has also expanded into AI-native advertising. In July 2026, Tec-Do announced that it had become a technology partner supporting advertising in ChatGPT and said Navos could provide access to ChatGPT Ads.

Strategic Outlook

The central question for Tec-Do is whether AI-driven automation can sustain its cost structure as marketing operations scale across geographies and channels.

Its reported margins demonstrate the economics of the current business mix, but they do not alone establish that the same margins will persist. Tax benefits, non-operating income, revenue-recognition methodology and the proportion of high-margin technology services can all influence profitability.

For MarTech buyers, the more significant development is the convergence of AI models, multi-agent workflows and marketing execution. If these systems can consistently connect intelligence, creative production, media activation and optimization, marketing technology providers may increasingly compete on operating leverage as well as functionality.
