Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, announced that German industrial services provider Bilfinger SE has chosen Radware’s DefensePro® DDoS Protection and Cloud DDoS Protection Service to increase cyber defenses across its global hybrid IT infrastructure.
Today, Bilfinger employs more than 30,000 employees worldwide. For a long time, Bilfinger has been providing engineering, maintenance, modification, operations, and inspection services for customers across a broad range of industries, including chemicals, energy and utilities, pharma and biopharma, oil, and gas. The company turned to Radware to protect its infrastructure against DDoS attacks and evolving threats.
The first six months of 2022 were marked by a significant increase in DDoS activity across the globe. According to Radware’s First Half 2022 Global Threat Analysis Report, the number of malicious DDoS attacks climbed 203% compared to the same period in 2021.
“One of the reasons we selected Radware was because of the flexibility and combined strength of its state-of-the-art DDoS protection solutions,” said Andreas Pfau, head of Bilfinger’s CIO office. “Together, they offer low latency and uninterrupted protection while delivering the high capacity required to mitigate sophisticated, large-scale volumetric DDoS attacks.”
For network security, Bilfinger deployed Radware's DefensePro® DDoS Protection and Cloud DDoS Protection Service. Together, they provide automated protection against Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks as well as ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and other types of cyber threats. Bilfinger is also working with Radware’s Emergency Response Team (ERT). The group of security experts provides 24x7 support and mitigation services for customers facing application- and network-layer attacks.
“The risk of DDoS attack has never been greater. When it comes to detection and mitigation, speed and accuracy have never been more critical,” said Rob Hartley, vice president and managing director for EMEA and LATAM. “Our enterprise-grade technology uses advanced behavioral-based detection and automatic real-time signature creation to offer organizations wide security coverage against the most sophisticated DDoS attacks.”
Radware was recognized as a global leader in Forrester’s report, “The Forrester Wave™: DDoS Mitigation Solutions, Q1 2021.” The company was also named the market leader for the second consecutive year in Quadrant Knowlege Solutions’ 2022 SPARK Matrix for DDOS Mitigation.
