Parloa will use its WAVE 2026 conference in Berlin to unveil new capabilities for managing, evaluating and scaling AI agents across enterprise customer experience, as the customer service market shifts from AI experimentation toward production deployment.

The October 7–8 event at Wilhelm Studios will bring together more than 700 enterprise leaders, according to Parloa, with sessions focused on agent performance, customer interactions, governance, business value and the operational requirements of scaling agentic AI.

The announcements are centered on Parloa's AI Agent Management Platform. Planned capabilities include expanded methods for measuring agent quality and outcomes, benchmarking performance, testing and simulation, and continuously optimizing agents after deployment.

The company also plans to demonstrate richer interactions across voice and chat, deeper contextual understanding of customers and conversations, and enterprise controls designed around security, data and deployment requirements.

That focus reflects a broader change in enterprise customer-service AI. The question is increasingly not whether an AI system can complete a service interaction, but whether an organization can evaluate its performance, govern its behavior and improve it reliably across large-scale deployments.

From AI Demonstrations to Production Management

Gartner's 2026 research describes agentic AI as advancing quickly in customer service while noting that production deployment and financial returns remain limited. At the same time, Gartner reported in August that customer-service organizations had increased AI spending by 38%, compared with 2% growth in overall service and support budgets.

That combination is pushing vendors toward management capabilities surrounding the agent itself.

Parloa's planned WAVE announcements map closely to this requirement. Testing and simulation can help organizations identify failures before deployment, while evaluation and benchmarking provide mechanisms for monitoring performance after agents begin handling customer interactions. Contextual capabilities address another challenge: ensuring an agent has enough information about the customer and conversation to respond appropriately.

Human escalation remains part of that equation. A Gartner survey of 3,566 B2B and B2C customers conducted in February and March 2026 found that 87% considered access to a human agent essential when companies use GenAI for customer service.

Competition Moves Toward Agent Management

Parloa's strategy enters a market increasingly populated by large enterprise software vendors building agentic capabilities into contact-center and CRM platforms.

Microsoft's Dynamics 365 Contact Center, for example, combines autonomous service agents with Copilot capabilities and includes tools for conversation-quality evaluation and agentic simulations. Salesforce has similarly expanded Agentforce around autonomous customer-service workflows and integrated AI agents, CRM data and customer interactions.

This makes agent management an increasingly important layer of the CX technology stack. Vendors are competing not only on conversational quality but also on orchestration, evaluation, governance, data access, analytics and the ability to improve agents continuously.

Parloa is using WAVE to frame that transition around enterprise-scale agentic CX. The conference will include more than 30 speakers from companies including OpenAI, Microsoft, SAP, IKEA, Booking.com and other organizations, according to Parloa.

Market Landscape

Enterprise customer-service platforms are moving toward architectures in which AI agents can handle customer interactions, assist human representatives, retrieve information and take actions across connected systems. Microsoft describes its contact-center architecture as combining autonomous agents, human handoffs, conversation history and operational intelligence.

The resulting market is expanding beyond traditional chatbots. Agent evaluation, simulation, quality monitoring and governance are becoming important components as enterprises deploy AI across more channels and customer journeys.

Strategic Outlook

The next phase of agentic CX will depend heavily on operational controls. Enterprises need ways to determine whether agents are producing accurate outcomes, identify where they fail, test changes safely and maintain appropriate human oversight.

Parloa's WAVE announcements are therefore less about introducing another conversational interface and more about the management infrastructure surrounding enterprise AI agents. If agentic CX moves deeper into production, continuous evaluation and optimization could become as important to buyers as the underlying conversational models.

WAVE 2026 takes place October 7–8 in Berlin, followed by a smaller WAVE Summit in New York on November 4–5.
