marketing artificial intelligence

Omnicom’s consulting firm Credera has signed a five-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help enterprises modernize marketing infrastructure, unify customer data and move artificial intelligence from pilot projects into production. The agreement combines Credera’s consulting and engineering capabilities with AWS cloud services and Omnicom’s marketing technology ecosystem, including Omni, its AI-powered marketing and sales intelligence platform.
The agreement, announced on October 20, 2026, establishes a dedicated AWS business unit within Credera and sets out a five-year plan for developing cloud-based marketing, advertising and enterprise AI solutions. The companies will target consumer packaged goods, energy, healthcare and life sciences, automotive, public sector, and media and entertainment businesses across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The collaboration addresses a persistent challenge for large marketing organizations: customer data, advertising platforms, analytics systems and AI applications often operate across disconnected environments. Bringing these components together requires more than deploying a language model. It also involves data governance, identity resolution, cloud infrastructure, security controls and integration with existing business processes.
Credera plans to combine AWS services with Omnicom’s Omni platform and Acxiom’s Real ID identity capabilities. Omnicom says its identity graph contains 2.6 billion verified global identities. The proposed architecture is intended to help enterprises connect customer information, coordinate marketing workflows and activate first-party data across advertising channels.
The initiative covers three broad areas. MarTech Intelligence focuses on governed marketing data, identity resolution and agentic marketing automation. AdTech Intelligence targets privacy-conscious advertising activation through AWS Clean Rooms and Amazon Marketing Cloud, alongside AI-supported bid optimization using Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore. Enterprise Modernization extends the work into cloud migration, AI development processes and data platform upgrades.
Credera has already made its Marketing Data & Analytics Foundation available through AWS Marketplace. The consulting engagement is designed to assess, build and operationalize marketing data architecture. The company plans to develop further Marketplace offerings in intelligent contact centers, AI-powered migration, agentic marketing automation and privacy-compliant advertising activation, targeting 12–15 listings over the agreement’s term.
That roadmap puts the collaboration at the intersection of cloud consulting and marketing technology. AWS provides infrastructure and AI services, while Credera contributes implementation expertise and Omnicom brings agency relationships, media capabilities and identity assets. The solutions are also intended to integrate with Omni, potentially connecting marketing execution with broader enterprise data and workflows.
The companies are positioning this model beyond conventional agency services. Examples include linking marketing systems with supply-chain optimization, connecting vehicle telemetry to personalization engines and integrating retail media measurement with inventory management. Such projects could extend marketing-led engagements into enterprise cloud modernization, although the announcement does not specify customer commitments or timelines for individual solutions.
The emphasis on deployment reflects a wider industry problem. McKinsey’s 2025 global AI survey found that 88% of respondents reported AI use in at least one business function, but only about one-third said their organizations had begun scaling AI programs across the enterprise.
Credera says the collaboration will also address organizational readiness, using behavioral science and organizational psychology to support adoption. Its roughly 3,000-person workforce is expected to receive additional AWS training and certifications as the partnership develops.
The company cites previous engagements in which a pharmaceutical client achieved a 30% increase in consumer marketing ROI, a consumer goods brand recorded 92% higher purchase rates using AWS Clean Rooms, and an airline reduced a cloud migration from three and a half years to less than 18 months. These are company-reported results; the announcement does not provide the underlying methodologies or independent validation.
For enterprise marketing leaders, the central question will be whether the combined stack can deliver measurable gains in campaign performance, data accessibility and operating efficiency without increasing integration complexity. The five-year agreement creates a framework to pursue those goals, but its competitive impact will depend on implementation quality, customer adoption, privacy safeguards and evidence of sustained returns.
Credera and AWS are entering a market where consulting firms, cloud providers and marketing software vendors increasingly compete to connect AI with enterprise workflows. AWS brings cloud infrastructure and services such as Bedrock, Clean Rooms and Entity Resolution; Omnicom adds identity assets and media expertise. This combination differentiates the initiative from a standalone AI tool, but it does not eliminate competition from Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft and Google, whose platforms also support enterprise data, marketing automation, analytics and AI.
The commercial opportunity lies in integration rather than any single model. Marketing teams need reliable customer profiles, governed data access and AI workflows that can operate within existing technology stacks. The partnership’s planned Marketplace solutions could simplify procurement and deployment for AWS customers, although the announcement provides no pricing, adoption targets or independent performance benchmarks.
The collaboration reflects a broader shift toward AI-enabled marketing infrastructure that links customer intelligence, advertising activation and enterprise operations. Its success will depend on turning the proposed integrations into repeatable deployments with transparent measurement, clear data controls and business outcomes that justify long-term investment.
Credera and AWS are deepening enterprise AI delivery: The five-year agreement targets marketing leaders seeking to move beyond isolated AI experiments toward production-ready infrastructure and measurable business outcomes.
Omni gains a broader cloud integration pathway: Connecting Omnicom’s marketing intelligence platform with AWS services could help enterprise teams coordinate identity resolution, campaign activation and customer engagement.
Agentic marketing automation is a key growth area: Planned Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore solutions could automate multi-step marketing workflows, subject to governance, reliability and human oversight.
Privacy-conscious advertising remains strategically important: AWS Clean Rooms and Amazon Marketing Cloud provide a foundation for analyzing data across environments while supporting controlled collaboration between advertising partners.
Enterprise modernization extends beyond marketing: Connecting marketing platforms with supply chains, vehicle telemetry and inventory systems could broaden the business case for cloud transformation across industries.
