Green Lotus is launching an educational webinar series aimed at helping local businesses and ecommerce companies adapt their marketing strategies as AI-generated search results change how consumers discover information and brands.

The Canadian digital agency's first session, titled The Marketing Survival Guide for the AI Revolution, will focus on search visibility, AI-generated answers and automated lead-response systems. The program will be led by Green Lotus CEO Bassem Ghali and is positioned as a practical guide for businesses adjusting to what the company describes as a shift from traditional search toward "Search Everywhere Optimization."

The launch reflects a wider change in digital marketing. Google's AI Overviews, conversational search products and third-party AI assistants are increasingly answering questions without requiring users to visit individual websites. For businesses that have historically depended on organic clicks, the change raises questions about how brand visibility and website traffic will be measured.

Zero-Click Search Changes the Visibility Equation

Green Lotus cites research from SparkToro and Datos indicating that 58% of Google searches end without a click. The finding is part of a broader debate about declining organic click-through rates as search engines provide more information directly on results pages.

The implications vary considerably by query. Informational searches can often be answered without a website visit, while transactional searches involving products, services or local businesses can still generate meaningful traffic.

The rise of AI-generated summaries nevertheless creates a new optimization objective: becoming a source that search and AI systems recognize, understand and reference.

That requires more than traditional keyword placement. Businesses increasingly need structured information, clear answers, authoritative content and consistent information across the web.

Green Lotus describes this approach as Search Everywhere Optimization, incorporating Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Large Language Model Optimization (LLMO).

From Ranking Pages to Becoming a Cited Source

The emergence of AI assistants creates a different form of visibility from conventional search rankings.

A traditional SEO strategy seeks to position a webpage among search results. An AI-oriented strategy also seeks to make the underlying information understandable and trustworthy enough for an AI system to use when generating an answer.

Schema markup can help search engines interpret entities, products, organizations and other structured information. However, claims that schema alone causes websites to rank substantially faster require careful qualification. Structured data can improve machine readability and eligibility for certain search features, but search engines do not guarantee rankings based solely on implementation.

This distinction is increasingly important as agencies market services around GEO and LLM optimization.

For local businesses, entity consistency may be particularly important. Business names, addresses, services, reviews and other information should remain accurate across websites, business directories and other authoritative sources.

AI Search Is Only One Part of the Funnel

Green Lotus is also connecting its search strategy with automated lead response.

The agency cites Lead Connect research showing that 78% of customers choose the first company to respond, alongside CallRail data indicating that businesses can miss more than half of incoming calls.

The underlying business problem is well established: generating a lead has limited value if a company cannot respond quickly enough to convert it.

Green Lotus plans to introduce an AI Team comprising four specialized agents covering voice calls, SMS, social media and reputation management. The company says the system is designed to provide 24/7 lead-response coverage, including qualifying prospects and booking appointments.

The approach illustrates an important development in AI marketing. AI is increasingly being positioned not just as a content-generation tool, but as an operational layer connecting acquisition with sales follow-up.

Case Studies Need Context

Green Lotus is using existing client results to demonstrate the potential of its approach.

The agency says T1 Motorsports recorded a 505% increase in total sales and a 2,560% increase in keyword rankings across Google and ChatGPT over a 2.5-year period.

Those figures are company-reported results, and the announcement does not provide enough information to independently establish how much of the change was attributable specifically to AI-search optimization. Factors such as changes in the business, market demand, advertising, website improvements and broader SEO activity can also influence outcomes.

That distinction matters as marketers increasingly evaluate AI-related services. Performance claims should ideally be assessed against baseline periods, attribution methodology and comparable benchmarks.

Market Landscape

AI is creating a rapidly expanding category of marketing services.

Traditional SEO agencies are adding AEO and GEO capabilities, while software companies are developing tools to monitor AI citations, brand mentions and visibility across conversational search systems. CRM and marketing-automation providers are simultaneously introducing AI agents for lead qualification, customer service and sales workflows.

For smaller businesses, the appeal is straightforward: AI can potentially reduce the labor required to respond to customers and maintain marketing operations.

The challenge is determining which applications produce measurable incremental value. Search visibility, lead response and conversion are interconnected, but optimizing one does not automatically improve the others.

Strategic Outlook

The transition toward AI-mediated discovery is likely to make digital visibility more fragmented rather than eliminate search altogether.

Google remains a major discovery channel, while ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, social platforms, maps and retailer marketplaces can each influence consumer decisions. Businesses therefore face an increasingly distributed discovery environment.

For marketers, the practical priority should be building authoritative first-party information, maintaining accurate business data, publishing useful answers and ensuring that technical infrastructure allows content to be discovered and interpreted effectively.

AI-powered lead response represents a complementary opportunity. If businesses can combine better discovery with faster follow-up, the potential impact extends beyond traffic into conversion economics.

Green Lotus' webinar reflects this broader market shift: the next stage of digital marketing is increasingly about being discoverable by machines and responsive to the people those machines send to the business.

Top Insights

  1. AI is changing search visibility: Search engines and AI assistants increasingly answer questions directly, reducing the need for users to click through for some queries.
  2. AEO and GEO are becoming marketing priorities: Businesses are exploring ways to make their information easier for AI systems to understand and reference.
  3. Structured data has a supporting role: Schema can improve machine interpretation but should not be treated as a guaranteed ranking mechanism.
  4. Lead response is becoming an AI use case: Voice, SMS and social agents can potentially reduce delays between lead generation and sales follow-up.
  5. Performance claims require attribution: AI marketing results should be evaluated against baselines and broader business changes rather than attributed automatically to one optimization tactic.
