Cosmoprof Asia is turning its 2026 Hong Kong edition into a showcase for the people and technologies reshaping beauty across Asia-Pacific. Its new global “WANTED” campaign will run across digital, social, media and out-of-home channels, while the November event will bring together thousands of beauty brands, manufacturers, technology providers and industry professionals.
The beauty industry is entering a period where product innovation increasingly depends on technology, formulation science, supply-chain capabilities and changing consumer behavior. Cosmoprof Asia 2026 is positioning its next Hong Kong edition around those shifts with the launch of its global “WANTED” campaign.
The campaign is designed to spotlight the people behind the industry's transformation, from scientists and manufacturers to technology pioneers, fragrance specialists and entrepreneurs challenging established category norms.
The 29th edition of Cosmoprof Asia will take place across two Hong Kong venues in November. Cosmopack Asia, which covers the beauty supply chain, including packaging, contract manufacturing, ingredients, machinery and production technologies, will run at AsiaWorld-Expo from November 10 to 12.
Cosmoprof Asia, focused on finished beauty products, will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 11 to 13.
Organizers expect more than 78,000 visitors and over 2,900 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions.
That scale gives the event significance beyond product discovery. For beauty companies operating across Asia-Pacific, trade shows increasingly function as sourcing, technology scouting and market-intelligence platforms.
The “WANTED” campaign reflects that broader role.
Using the visual language of a wanted notice, Cosmoprof Asia is framing its audience as the people actively changing the beauty market. The campaign is organized around three themes: Rule-Breakers, Innovators and Fragrance Addicts.
Rule-Breakers focuses on professionals challenging established category conventions. Innovators highlights scientists, researchers, manufacturers and technology companies working on areas including formulations, ingredients, packaging, artificial intelligence, sustainability and production technology.
Fragrance Addicts, meanwhile, reflects the continuing growth and experimentation around fragrance, particularly independent and niche perfume brands.
The campaign will be distributed through an omnichannel strategy targeting markets including Mainland China, ASEAN, the Middle East and Central Asia.
For marketers, the approach is notable because it positions the event around people and ideas rather than simply exhibitor scale. The campaign essentially turns industry participation into part of the event's marketing narrative.
That approach mirrors a wider trend in B2B marketing, where trade-show organizers are increasingly using digital storytelling, social media and creator-style content to build engagement before attendees arrive.
Technology will also have a visible role at the 2026 edition.
Cosmopack Asia will bring together companies involved in the infrastructure behind beauty products, including packaging, private-label manufacturing, raw materials, machinery and production systems.
Artificial intelligence is explicitly included among the innovation areas highlighted by the organizers. For the beauty sector, AI is increasingly being applied to product development, consumer analysis, personalization, formulation research, content creation and demand forecasting.
The more significant opportunity may be at the intersection of these technologies.
Beauty brands increasingly need to connect consumer insights with product development, manufacturing, packaging and distribution. That makes industry events such as Cosmoprof Asia relevant to technology vendors as well as traditional cosmetics companies.
Italy will be the Country of Honour for the 2026 edition. The Italian Trade Agency and Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, working with Cosmetica Italia, will organize a country pavilion spanning Cosmoprof Asia and Cosmopack Asia.
The Italian presence will emphasize beauty manufacturing, product development, creativity and innovation.
Fragrance will receive its own international focus.
In collaboration with Esxence, Cosmoprof Asia will introduce a dedicated niche-fragrance area featuring independent perfume brands. A special installation created with creative agency Centdegrés will explore the heritage and craftsmanship of international fragrance houses.
That focus reflects the growing importance of fragrance as a category for beauty brands looking to differentiate through identity, storytelling and premium positioning.
The event will also feature Glamorous Hong Kong – International Hair & Beauty Showcase 2026–2027, organized by Pivot Point (China) Education Fund in collaboration with the Hong Kong Image Designer Association.
The program will connect professional talent, education and live artistry, adding a workforce-development dimension to the event.
Another major component will be the Beauty Ingredients & Formulation Asia Symposium, scheduled for November 10–11 at AsiaWorld-Expo. Organized with the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the symposium will focus on ingredient innovation, fragrance trends, formulation advances and technologies supporting next-generation beauty products.
For technology and marketing executives, the combination of formulation science, manufacturing infrastructure and digital innovation is increasingly important.
The beauty industry's competitive landscape is no longer defined solely by brand recognition or product aesthetics. Companies are competing on speed to market, personalization, sustainability, supply-chain flexibility, formulation capabilities and their ability to translate consumer data into products.
Cosmoprof Asia 2026 is effectively positioning itself at that intersection.
The global beauty market is becoming increasingly technology-driven, with AI, digital commerce, personalization and advanced manufacturing influencing how products are developed and marketed.
Technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce and Adobe increasingly provide the data, cloud, analytics, advertising and customer-experience infrastructure used by consumer brands. Meanwhile, specialist beauty technology companies are applying AI and automation directly to formulation, product discovery and personalization.
That creates a convergence between MarTech and beauty innovation.
Beauty brands can use customer data and marketing analytics to identify emerging preferences, while manufacturers and formulation companies can translate those signals into new products. Packaging technologies, sustainable materials and automated production then determine how efficiently those products reach the market.
Cosmoprof Asia's dual-venue structure reflects this interconnected ecosystem, separating the finished-product marketplace from the underlying supply chain while bringing both communities together in Hong Kong.
The “WANTED” campaign suggests that Cosmoprof Asia sees its future role as more than a traditional trade exhibition.
Its emphasis on innovators, technology pioneers, fragrance specialists and manufacturers points toward an increasingly interconnected beauty ecosystem where product development, technology and marketing operate together.
For enterprise beauty brands, the strategic opportunity is to treat industry events as technology and intelligence platforms rather than simply sales channels.
AI-enabled formulation, predictive consumer analytics, automated manufacturing and personalized marketing are likely to become increasingly interconnected. Companies that can connect those capabilities may gain an advantage in speed, product relevance and customer engagement.
Cosmoprof Asia 2026 will provide a snapshot of how that convergence is developing across Asia-Pacific.
