Clarecast, a Grand Rapids-based predictive intelligence platform, will co-host a panel with Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce at Tech Week Grand Rapids 2026, focusing on how organizations are applying external data and artificial intelligence to workforce and business decisions.

The session, titled “GVSU & GR Chamber: How Leadership Is Putting AI & Predictive Intelligence To Work,” is scheduled for September 17, 2026, at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Clarecast CEO and co-founder Bradley Taylor will lead the discussion with representatives from GVSU and the Chamber.

Rather than focusing exclusively on generative AI productivity applications, the panel will examine how predictive intelligence can provide organizations with forward-looking information for planning, workforce development and member services.

Market Landscape

Clarecast says its platform analyzes more than 18 million company records, 300 million employment profiles and 1.8 million active job postings. The company reports that its headcount forecasts achieve more than 80% accuracy.

The platform's positioning reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI toward using external datasets to inform strategic decisions. While generative AI has become widely associated with content creation and productivity, predictive systems can address a different requirement: identifying patterns in markets, employment and organizational activity that may help leaders anticipate future conditions.

At GVSU, Clarecast data is being used to evaluate alumni career paths and examine employer requirements that could inform academic programming. The objective is to connect education more closely with regional labor-market demand.

For the Grand Rapids Chamber, the application is focused on business intelligence. The organization says it is using Clarecast to monitor business-health signals and industry dynamics across its network of more than 2,500 member organizations.

Strategic Outlook

The use cases presented by Clarecast highlight how predictive intelligence can extend beyond conventional internal business analytics.

For universities, access to current employer requirements could help identify changes in skills demand and support decisions around curriculum relevance. For business organizations, external market signals could provide another input for determining which resources, information or connections members may need.

The approach also introduces a different model of AI adoption. Instead of using AI primarily to automate tasks, organizations can use large-scale external datasets to support decisions before market changes become obvious.

However, predictive intelligence is only as useful as the underlying data, methodology and interpretation. Clarecast's reported forecast accuracy is a company claim, and organizations adopting such systems still need appropriate validation and human judgment before making consequential decisions.

The broader strategic opportunity is the integration of predictive data into existing decision-making processes. If organizations can turn external signals into timely actions, AI can become less about generating outputs and more about improving organizational foresight.
