Breakthrough 2026 Puts Agentic GTM at Center of Revenue Strategy

6sense is bringing marketing, sales, revenue operations and data professionals together for Breakthrough 2026, an industry conference focused on applying artificial intelligence, buying signals and contextual data to go-to-market operations.

The four-day event is scheduled for November 2–5 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and is designed for revenue teams at different stages of AI adoption, including organizations that do not use 6sense technology.

A major addition this year is the Agentic GTM Certification, which 6sense says will teach participants how to use buying signals and contextual intelligence to support revenue growth. The certification is positioned as vendor-neutral and does not require participants to be 6sense customers or have previous experience with the company's technology.

The conference reflects a growing shift in B2B marketing and sales technology from AI-assisted tasks toward agentic workflows that can interpret signals and execute actions across the revenue cycle.

6sense cites research showing that 94% of buying groups have established their shortlist order before contacting a vendor, with the company saying the vendor ranked on that shortlist wins roughly nine out of 10 times. The figures underscore a challenge for traditional GTM organizations: much of the buying process may be shaped before sales teams become aware of active demand.

Market Landscape

B2B buying journeys are becoming increasingly difficult for revenue teams to observe. Buyers can research vendors anonymously across websites, review sites, social channels and AI interfaces before initiating direct conversations.

That environment has increased demand for technologies that combine intent signals, account intelligence, customer data and AI-based decision-making.

Agentic GTM represents the next stage of that development. Rather than simply presenting a salesperson with another dashboard or recommendation, agentic systems are intended to identify signals, interpret context and potentially initiate or coordinate actions.

The challenge is balancing automation with transparency. Revenue decisions can affect targeting, customer communications and resource allocation, making explainability and governance increasingly important as AI agents become more autonomous.

Strategic Outlook

Breakthrough 2026's focus on practical playbooks suggests that the market is moving beyond experimentation. Sessions featuring practitioners from Culture Amp, Experian, Jamf Software, Reltio, Smarsh, SolarWinds and Thomson Reuters will examine buyer orchestration, explainable AI and methods for using contextual intelligence to influence pipeline, deal size and retention.

The certification also reflects another emerging requirement: organizations need employees who can understand how AI fits into existing revenue operations, not simply specialists who know how to operate a particular software platform.

For 6sense, the event serves both an educational and ecosystem-building function. By positioning agentic GTM as a broader industry methodology rather than solely a product category, the company can engage revenue professionals who are still evaluating how AI should fit into their technology stacks.

The key test for the broader agentic GTM movement will be measurable performance. Adoption will ultimately depend on whether AI-driven workflows can improve pipeline quality, sales productivity and customer outcomes while maintaining appropriate human oversight.

Top Insights

  • GTM is moving toward agentic workflows: AI is increasingly being positioned to interpret signals and coordinate revenue actions.
  • Buying decisions happen earlier: Revenue teams face growing pressure to identify intent before prospects enter conventional sales channels.
  • Certification is becoming an adoption tool: Organizations need practical AI and data skills alongside new technology.
  • Explainability matters: Autonomous revenue decisions require visibility into how AI reaches recommendations.
  • Outcomes will determine adoption: Pipeline, conversion, deal size and retention remain the key measures of agentic GTM value.
