Klaviyo reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $387.2 million, up 25% year over year, as the marketing technology company expanded its AI agent capabilities and increased adoption among larger customers. The results, for the quarter ended September 30, show the company continuing to position its platform as an autonomous business-to-consumer (B2C) CRM, combining customer data, marketing decisioning, and AI-powered tools for marketing and customer service. Its latest product developments include an upgraded Composer experience, Klaviyo Headless, and embedded integrations for Shopify and Wix.
Klaviyo's latest results point to two connected priorities: expanding its enterprise customer base and making AI agents a more central part of its customer relationship management platform. While revenue growth remained strong, the company's product announcements suggest it is also preparing for a shift toward AI systems that can access customer data and execute tasks across marketing workflows.
The company generated $387.2 million in Q3 revenue, representing 25% year-over-year growth. Gross profit was $287.4 million, with a GAAP gross margin of 74%. Non-GAAP operating income reached $56.9 million, equivalent to a 15% operating margin. Klaviyo reported a GAAP operating loss of $4.5 million.
Cash from operating activities was $52.7 million, while free cash flow was $24.8 million and adjusted free cash flow was $40.1 million.
Klaviyo's product strategy increasingly centers on connecting customer data with AI-driven decision-making. CEO Andrew Bialecki described the company's customer data foundation as an advantage as AI agents take on more marketing and customer service work.
The company released a new version of Composer, which it describes as more autonomous and proactive, with connectors, skills, and artifacts. The announcement signals a move toward agents that can work with connected systems and use business context to support more complex tasks, rather than functioning only as isolated content-generation tools.
Klaviyo also announced Klaviyo Headless, which allows customers to access Klaviyo data from external AI systems, including Claude and ChatGPT. This is strategically relevant as businesses explore ways to connect customer information and marketing workflows to AI assistants beyond a single software interface.
The company also launched embedded applications, including Klaviyo in Shopify and Klaviyo in Wix. These integrations bring Klaviyo and Composer capabilities directly into merchant workflows, reducing the need to switch between separate platforms.
Klaviyo reported more than 211,000 customers as of September 30, 2026. Its larger customer segments grew faster than the overall business.
The company had 4,725 customers generating more than $50,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR), up 33% year over year. The number generating more than $250,000 in ARR increased 49% to 390, while customers generating more than $500,000 in ARR rose 57% to 105.
These figures suggest that existing customers are expanding their platform usage and that Klaviyo is making progress in larger accounts. The company also reported that 22% of ARR came from customers using three or more products, indicating growing adoption across its platform portfolio.
Net revenue retention (NRR) was 108%, reflecting expansion, cross-selling, and retention among existing customers. Revenue outside the Americas grew 32% year over year, pointing to continued international expansion.
Klaviyo identified new customer wins and expansions involving Frasers Group, Malbon Golf, and Voluspa, although it did not disclose individual contract values.
For the fourth quarter, Klaviyo expects revenue between $421 million and $425 million, representing approximately 21% year-over-year growth. Its full-year 2026 revenue guidance stands at $1.537 billion to $1.541 billion, with expected growth of approximately 25%.
The company forecasts full-year non-GAAP operating income of $233 million to $236 million. These are non-GAAP measures and should be considered separately from its reported GAAP operating results.
Klaviyo also authorized a new $300 million share repurchase program after completing its previous $500 million authorization in October. The company said its cash generation allows it to balance investment in product development with capital returns to shareholders.
The results place Klaviyo at the intersection of marketing automation, customer data infrastructure, and enterprise AI. Its ability to turn agent capabilities into sustained customer adoption and measurable marketing outcomes will be an important factor in its next stage of growth.
The marketing technology market is moving toward platforms that combine customer data, campaign execution, personalization, and AI-driven decision-making. As generative AI and autonomous agents become more capable, access to reliable customer context is emerging as a competitive factor.
Klaviyo's strategy reflects this convergence. Its CRM platform connects customer profiles and engagement data with marketing and customer service workflows, while Composer and Headless extend how users and external AI systems can interact with that infrastructure.
The move also places greater emphasis on interoperability. Integrations with Shopify and Wix address merchants working within commerce platforms, while access through Claude and ChatGPT points toward a broader ecosystem in which AI assistants may become another interface for enterprise applications.
Competition will increasingly depend not only on AI features, but also on data quality, integration depth, governance, workflow reliability, and the ability to demonstrate commercial returns.
Klaviyo's Q3 performance demonstrates continued revenue growth and expansion among larger customers. Its next challenge is converting AI product development into deeper platform adoption and measurable customer outcomes.
Three areas will be important:
Agent adoption: Whether Composer can move beyond assisting individual tasks to reliably coordinate more complex marketing and service workflows.
Open AI connectivity: Whether Klaviyo Headless encourages meaningful usage through external AI systems while maintaining appropriate data access and controls.
Enterprise expansion: Whether larger customer cohorts continue growing and adopting multiple products, supporting retention and recurring revenue.
The company's 108% NRR indicates expansion within its existing customer base, but it also means sustained growth will depend on winning new customers and increasing the value generated from current accounts. Its reported financial performance provides a strong foundation, while the commercial impact of its newer agent capabilities remains to be demonstrated over time.
